I have been a research and instruction librarian at Georgetown for almost five years. Before that, I did my library degree at the University of Michigan and ended up taking a fair amount of human-computer interaction courses (information architecture instead of cataloging, yay!). And before that, I was in a doctoral program in American Studies at the University of Minnesota. My work there was on representations of race and gender in mass culture. I am interested in digital humanities from both sides - as a scholar and a librarian - and as a teacher. And if you haven't seen it, Zizek's "Pervert's Guide to Cinema" is fantastic.
